Gifts for the Continuum

Cancer Support Community North Texas invests in the future. As we look to the years ahead, we realize there will be an increasing number of people who need the psychosocial emotional support that we provide. As the Institute of Medicine reported, there will be over 30,000 new cancer cases in North Texas this year. We have so many patients, families and caregivers to serve. No matter the size, your gift will continue our free program of support for years to come. Gifts can be designated to events, services or the general fund.

ONE RUN This run, like our unique community, unites all cancer diagnoses and survivors of cancer under one spectacular and colorful event. This year’s 5K Run/Walk and 1K Walk takes place September 23rd @ Reverchon Park, followed by a celebration including live music, free food & drinks and lots of family friendly activities. See more at OneRunTexas.org.

Rock the Red Door This costume party delivers with silent auction, awesome raffles, and an amazing live musical performance by the Emerald City Band at Gilley’s Southside Ballroom. Sponsored by the Young Leadership Board, this is one of our most popular fundraising events.

Youth in Philanthropy

We love Noogies! Our Noogieland program is dedicated to helping kids live with cancer, especially when it impacts a family member. See Noogieland for more information about how we support the needs of children. Kids have tremendous capacity to give back to the community. A few examples on how kids can become involved with CSCNT include:

  • Community Service Projects: volunteer for a special service that will help your local CSC.
  • Bar/Bat Mitzvah/Confirmation Projects: develop a personal project as you prepare for your special day.
  • Giving Back: host a fundraiser at your school or other community group and donate the proceeds to CSCNT.
  • You’ve got Talent: use a special talent or hobby to raise money for CSCNT. If you knit, paint, origami, play sports, or walk the dog, you can raise money and give back! Be creative!

Contact our Noogieland Coordinator for more information on developing your child’s project: (214) 345-8234.
